Special Education at San Diego Met

Program Descriptors:

  • Special Education model is full-inclusion with most supports provided in the general education classroom, some small groups, and some one-on-one support
  • Related services provided are those according to the student IEP
  • School psychologist on-site two times per month
  • School nurse services available through consultation upon request

Learning Environment:

  • Instructional format is through Project Based Learning integrated within traditional teaching and exams to afford a blended learning environment which prepares students for post-secondary options
  • Independent study skills are utilized in this rigorous, college preparatory environment
  • Time management skills are taught and supported throughout the school year to help students balance high school course of study with internship, projects and college coursework
